Meet Sheila!
Sheila is the owner and senior instructor at Mello Pilates located in East Providence, Rhode Island. She is a former professional ballet dancer, who began her study of the Pilates Method in 1998 in Chicago, Illinois. She trained under master teacher Juanita Lopez. Juanita worked directly with Romana Kryzanowska, teaching workshops and overseeing testing for the Chicago training center. Sheila obtained her certification from Sari Mejia Santo in 2002 through the New York Pilates Studio Teacher Certification program.
Sheila moved to the New England area in 2004 and has been teaching the Classical Pilates Method, for over 20 years. She has continued her education by attending workshops and taking lessons from such accomplished instructors as, Jay Grimes, Brett Howard, Kathi Ross-Nash, Mari Windsor, Mejo Wiggins, Dana Santi, and Simona Cipriani. Sheila is committed to keeping Pilates pure and true to its original form.
